End-to-end outreach: from data scraping to automated offers.
About the Client
Our client, a PR and marketing agency from the CIS region, requested a fully automated outreach system to discover local prospects filtered by industry, company size, and PR activity, enabling them to send targeted special offers.
Project Goal
We needed to create a system that included the following modules:
- Company data retrieval from national business directories;
- Company filtering based on financial data and PR activity;
- Decision-maker email retrieval;
- CRM integration to add prospects as leads and contacts, send emails, and create follow-up tasks for sales reps.
The Solution
To retrieve primary company data from national business directories, we developed a Python/BeautifulSoup web scraper that gathered companies matching specific industry and financial criteria, saving the filtered data into a central database.
Tracking company PR activity proved to be more complex. Since companies usually communicate with the media under brand trademarks rather than legal entity names, we first needed to scrape all company-registered trademarks from the website and open trademarks directory and associate them with company profiles in our database. We developed a second Python scraper for this step, followed by a third one to analyze public media activity for each connected brand.
In the final stage, we needed to find contact details for decision-makers at the selected companies. To achieve this, we combined data from previous stages with Snov.io via REST API and pushed it into Bitrix24 Cloud, where new leads and contacts were automatically created.
Key Results & Impact
Within 2 months of using the system, data from over 160,000 companies was processed, around 2,000 outreach email sequences were initiated, and more than 50 special offers were sent to interested prospects.
